Wavendon Grange
treeWe are very busy with our new headquarters. We are working hard to prepare the summer grazing and repair and manage the damage from winter grazing. Ensuring well maintained grassland has so many benefits for our horses especially in terms of exercise and nutrition. We are also starting to develop the stable yard. We had a good winter with no major leaks and only a damp tack room and a single fallen tree to contend with after storm Doris in February. We have also had the chance to try out some new found rural craft skills including hedge laying!!

Eventing Season Ahead
With March already here eventing has begun. We have had a few setbacks so far but it has reminded me of how important stretching and core strengthening exercises are for both Freddie and Arty despite the age difference. Our horses benefit from stretching just as much as we do and stretching exercises do not need to be complicated to do. A simple raised pole on the way to the field can be a great exercise for stimulating and strengthening the core muscles.

I hope that you are all having a brilliant start to 2017 and I will post more updates again soon.

What a Confernce - Enjoy the Pictures!

Our annual conference held this year at the Belton Woods Hotel and Arena UK was a great success. It was brilliant to learn the theory on the first day and then see them put into practise on the second. We welcomed speakers from across the equine scientific world including Dr Sue Dyson, Dr David Marlin, Dr Vibeke Elbrond, Professor Tim Watson, Charlie Unwin and Laura Tomlinson (nee Bechtolsheimer).
