On a cold winter’s night Black and all the other ponies of the painted horse trail, which had been displayed firstly at Windsor and then about London, congregated at the Kensington Palace Pavilion for a very special evening to raise money for World Horse Welfare.
There were many famous people amongst the guests as well as key people from all disciplines of the equestrian industry.
Each pony's painting design was based on a horse rescued by World Horse Welfare. To learn all about the story behind Black and his design read here: https://www.horsesinsideout.com/post/skeleton-word-art
Gillian introduces Black and her involvement before he was auctioned:
Black sold for £3,500 contributing to the £100,000 raised for World Horse Welfare that night.
